    Dear Health Seeker, 
          
    Yes, you can lose weight, feel great, and live longer.  You can develop a lean, healthy body.  If you are overweight now, it is because of what you have been and are doing now.  If you change what you do, you will change what you are.  It does not accumulate overnight,  nor will it disappear like that either, however if your thinking is clear, you will be able to achieve your health goals and the journey will be more than pleasurable with rewards for life!

        The most common way to acquire excess fat on our bodies is to ingest more fuel in the form of food than we burn on a regular basis over an extended period of time.  This is commonly referred to as an energy imbalance (over eating), more energy is consumed than is required for daily function, thus we have more calories in and not as many out with the result being fat storage and weight gain. As we continue to do this, over time the fat can accumulate not only in and around our muscles beneath the skin where we can see it, but fat will also accumulate in and around our vital organs and that will add a massive strain to all of our body's operating systems, definately compromising our livelyhood.

        Our health is not something we put on like a coat, it is developed inside our mind and body over time.  Everything starts in our thoughts, we had to think about being more healthy before we could recognize the need for change.  Whether you think you can or think you can't, you are right, I'm sure you've heard that before.  This means that how you think about any particular thing is changeable. For example, at one time I thought it was difficult to do one pushup, now I can do 15 pushups-one pushup is easy today. I have always believed that one push up should be easy and before long I was able to experience exactly that.  My thoughts told me that I should be able to do at least one pushup and with a little practice, my thoughts materialized.

        The primary starting point for acheiving permanent healthy weightloss is... KNOWLEDGE!


    KNOW THAT ONCE A MIND HAS BEEN STRETCHED BY A NEW THOUGHT, IT WILL NEVER AGAIN REGAIN IT'S ORIGINAL FORM
    (I wonder if this might mean that you are now on a path to a better, healthier lifestyle ?!...  oh Yeah, snuck that one in there without you even knowing :-))
    It's true, you cannot un-know something, once you have new knowledge your thoughts obviously change.

        Having a lean, healthy, strong body requires that we treat our bodies like it is already lean, healthy, and strong.  This means eating the right foods, taking quality health supporting nutritional supplements, enjoy being physically active, get plenty of rest, drink large quantities of water over the course of each and every day, and tend to our thoughts.  If that is how you would like to be, then that is how you need to behave now. I like to consider the word BEHAVE to say that to HAVE I first need to BE and when I can BEHAVE as it is so and continue to, it will quickly become my new physical reality.  Behaving Like and Pretending To Be are definately two different things, please understand that pretending is temporary in the mind.  If you want permanent results, you will want to adopt the behaviors of those which cause the effects you desire to experience. As you practice this, you will become more comfortable with the changes that are going on and you will begin to see things differently.  You will have more energy to go and do things, you will feel better when you wake up in the morning, you will be inspired to eat nice meals with whole foods without being tempted by any old not so good food habits thus realizing the importance of eating the right foods for your body. Opportunities to do effective muscle toning exercises will appear at times that, until now, seemed non-existant. 

        It is what we choose to know that decides what we be.  That would make it fairly important to review what we know about being lean, healthy and strong if that is what we truly want to experience.

        Being fit is about a healthy operating system that is well fed and not mis-used or mal-nourished.  All human bodies need wholesome food, proper health supporting nutritional supplements, good clean water, and lots of fresh air/oxygen for clear thinking.  The more physical activities we participate in, the more opportunity for the systems in the body to function at an optimal level. This can teach our bodies to use the food we eat efficiently.
