Yes, you can lose weight without starving yourself or taking harmful diet pills, or doing a yoyo on fad diets.You can develop a lean healthy body that is permanent if that is truly what you desire. If you are overweight now, it is that way because of what you have been and are doing now. If you want something to change, than you have to change something. Because everything starts in our minds, (we had to think we were overweight before we could decide to change) we need to start with our thinking.
The primary starting point for acheiving permanent healthy weightloss is...KNOWLEDGE!
What we know is how we be, so if we want to be something different than what we are right now, we have to think different than we have been thinking until now. Warning: this also means that how you think about any particular thing is changeable, for example, At one time I thought that it was difficult to do one push up, now I can do 25, one push up is very easy. I always knew that one push up should be easy when I began, so before long I was able to experience it.
Having a lean, healthy, strong body requires that we treat our bodies like they are already such. This means eating the right foods, taking quality health supporting nutritional supplements, are physically active, get plenty of rest, drink large quantities of water, and tend to our thoughts. If that is how you would like to be then that is how you need to behave now.
